About IRS Office Finder

IRS Office Finder is an independent directory of Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Assistance Centers across the United States, built to help people find the information they need quickly and without confusion.

What we do

We catalog every IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center in all 50 US states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. For each office, we publish the address, phone number, hours of operation, services available, and practical visit information — what to bring, parking notes, and answers to the questions people most often ask before going.

Why we built this

The official IRS office locator works, but the experience can be frustrating: it requires multiple clicks, the pages are slow, and important details like "what documents do I need to bring" are buried across dozens of separate help pages. We built IRS Office Finder to put everything you need in one place, on one page, readable on any device.

How we keep data accurate

Office data is sourced directly from the IRS's public Taxpayer Assistance Center locator and refreshed regularly. When the IRS updates an address, phone number, or hours, our records are updated as well. Despite this, hours can change without notice, especially around federal holidays — we always recommend calling 844-545-5640 to confirm before visiting.

What we are NOT

We are not affiliated with the Internal Revenue Service, the United States government, or any government agency. We cannot help you with your application, schedule appointments, or access your personal IRS records. For all official services, please visit irs.gov or call the IRS directly at 844-545-5640 for appointments or 800-829-1040 for tax questions.

Found a problem?

If you spot incorrect information — wrong hours, an outdated address, a closed office still listed — please let us know. Corrections are usually applied within a few business days.
