About IRS offices in California
The Internal Revenue Service operates 27 Taxpayer Assistance Centers in California to help residents with identity verification, ITIN applications, payments, transcripts and account questions. Centers are open Monday through Friday and see taxpayers by appointment only; many smaller ones close for lunch.
