About IRS offices in Illinois
The Internal Revenue Service operates 15 Taxpayer Assistance Centers in Illinois to help residents with identity verification, ITIN applications, payments, transcripts and account questions. Centers are open Monday through Friday and see taxpayers by appointment only; many smaller ones close for lunch.
